Description: Astrazeneca Emla Cream contains two medicines called Lidocaine and Prilocaine. These components belong to a group of medicines that are called as local anaesthetics. The cream works by numbing surface of the skin for a short time. It is applied on the skin before certain medical procedures. The medication helps to stop pain on the skin; however, you may still have the feelings of pressure and touch.
Usage Directions:
- Squeeze appropriate amount of cream into a mound, where it is needed on your skin
- Peel the centre cut out from the dressing
- Place the dressing gently over the mound of cream
- Remove the plastic backing, smooth down edges of thedressing carefully
- Usual application should be 1.5g to 2g of cream for each of 10cm area of skin
- Cream could be put on under dressing for approx. 2 to 5 hours
Side Effects and Precautions:
- Side effects are rare with this medication
- However, some allergic reactions like rashes, feeling short of breath, low blood pressure that may make you feel faint or dizzy, swelling of the face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body

Each Pack Contains: Pre-Medication Pack contains 5g of cream with 2 dressings

- Keep the cream away from reach of children and pets
- Do not store it above 30°C temperature
- Do not freeze
