How do I take this medicine?
Take Duloxetine exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. Do not take Duloxetine for a longer period of time than instructed by your doctor.

You may need to take Duloxetine for some time before the full benefits can be felt. Continue to take it even when you feel better. Do not skip any doses. Do not stop taking Duloxetine unless advised by your doctor to do so. Do not stop taking Duloxetine suddenly as this may worsen your condition or cause side effects to appear. Your doctor will gradually reduce the dose before stopping it or changing it to another medicine.

You may take Duloxetine with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day. Swallow the capsule whole. Do not chew or crush it.

What should I do if I have forgotten to take this medicine?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.

When should I not use this medicine?
Alert your doctor immediately if you are currently taking or have recently taken, within the last 2 weeks, a medicine called a MAO inhibitor. Alert your doctor immediately if you develop any of the following symptoms:

- thoughts of suicide
