Desmopressin can also be used to treat frequent urination at night.

How do I take this medicine?
Take Desmopressin exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Desmopressin must be taken regularly for it to be effective. Continue taking it even when you feel better. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by your doctor.

You may take Desmopressin with or without food. Try to take it at the same time each day.

If you have been given the normal tablet, swallow it with a glass of water.

If you have been given the sublingual tablet (Desmopressin "Melt"), place it under your tongue and allow it to dissolve. Do not chew, crush or suck.
